Some Thoughts
I am sitting comfortably, thinking and writing in the waiting room. Jim just left for surgery. After he had surgery for lower leg amputation, he was diagnosed with blockages in his heart. He is now in surgery to by pass those blockages. Sometimes you wonder. You just wonder. Life is full of twists and turns that bring us face to face with our humanity and our mortality. We are reminded again that what we view in life as most important, the clothes, the money, the schedule, the cars, the house, and even our job, lose their importance when the basics of life are at risk. The itmes that one day drive our every step become insignificant the next.
In Matthew, Jesus shared his heart as he witnessed people anxious about most everything in life. He wanted to give the people direction and hope in a world that had gone as crazy as the one we live in. He encouraged the crowds to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added to you.
So work and play hard and enjoy the fruits of your labor, but put God and his priorities first in your life. Check out his priorities in Gods Word.
Have a great month.
