Around the world, on the phone and at the table, the question is repeated thousands of times, "Have you made your Christmas wish list yet?" It's the question that is all too familiar as family and friends try to figure out what types of presents would interest you. Do you want tools, toys, or trinkets? It is an important question. You see, your aunt or co-worker doesn't want to buy something that is the wrong color or worse yet, too big (how could they think I was that size?). So be quick about it and make those lists and check them twice.
It is good to know the dreams of your close friends and family. But whether it's a white Christmas, sugar plums or a new toy tractor you're dreaming of; you must take the time to remember the fulfillment of the greatest dream of all. For hundreds of years the Hebrew people had been waiting, dreaming of the coming Messiah. Looking for and hoping that God would send the one who would set his people free. What is so exciting is that the dream of the people, promised by God came true in Jesus Christ.
During this Advent season remember how much God loves you. He came to earth to die, that we would receive the greatest gift of all, salvation from our sins. I pray that you will trust him and accept that gift.
May you and your family have a Wonderful Christmas.
