My life has since moved on to other projects. At this point, I am retired from reincarnation counseling. I do very, very few one-on-one consultations and when I do, I expect to be paid for my time. However, I would much prefer that you try the following resources first:
I don't make referrals to psychics or past-life therapists, because the choice of a therapist or religious/spiritual counselor is a very personal decision, and I cannot possibly know who is credible and who is not credible throughout the entire planet. Nor can I know if my credible person would meet your personality needs.
However, you might check with the Association for Past-Life Regression and Therapies, Inc. (APRT) for a referral. Be sure to say that I referred you or they will send you back to me -- and I'm retired. Also tell them you do not want to be referred to Hazel Denning or any of her students, because I consider their simplistic blame-the-victim approach to issues of "Holocaust karma" to be detrimental to healing. Ask for somebody who is familiar with my books and who respects my theology. (See Part 2 of my Reincarnation FAQ for further discussion of that and other issues -- a good idea in any case.)
My best advice is to ask around locally and trust your own heart. Many people have found that they don't really need hypnotherapy, that it is enough to discuss their feelings about reincarnation issues with a trusted support person. This is one of the reasons I started the listserv group, so that people with these memories can meet online.
The first book, Beyond the Ashes, gives you the background, theory and Jewish theology on reincarnation, as well as some case histories. In the second book, From Ashes to Healing, fifteen people from all walks of life and a wide variety of different philosophies have shared their own Holocaust reincarnation healing stories in their own words. These stories provide you with a many good models for understanding this phenomenon, and for working it out in your own life.
My third book, Jewish Tales of Reincarnation, is not about the Holocaust per se, but is a useful reference point for understanding the Jewish approach to reincarnation issues in general. People who find the Holocaust topic too scary or emotionally threatening, but who want to know more about Jewish reincarnation teachings, will find Jewish Tales of Reincarnation very helpful. It's written in user-friendly language, and you now can read foour sample stories online.
The materials on this website, especially the three-part FAQ, give you a lot of additional info regarding karmic issues, etc. For where to find my books in English, go to Gershom's Book Shop. Or, if you prefer, you can choose from a growing number of translations.
You can also go to The Judaism 101 website. The site by Tracy Rich is well-written, accurate, and explains Jewish beliefs, holidays, practices, history, etc. in plain English, written for the general public. Or check out the Basic Judaism page in my online bookstore for introductory materials.
If you are a budding author who wants to know how to get published, check out my writer's resource page which lists books about writing and publishing that I have found useful, along with recommenddations from Amazon's bestsellers on this topic.
If you have already published a book and want me to review it on Amazon, go to my authors and publishers review page for further info on where to send review copies.
You may also want to join the Reb Gershom Updates list to receive announcements about my speaking engagements and other activities, in case I come to your area in the future. This list is announce-only, for this purpose only, and generates one or two messages a month, if that. I do not sell or rent it, and you will not be spammed.
If you have further questions, you can e-mail me at: rooster@pinenet.com but be please aware that I don't log on every day, and I have no secretary or org helping me answer mail. I'm just a simple storyteller and freelance writer who gets lots of e-mails, so it sometimes takes me weeks to answer. Please be patient and keep in mind that nobody is really required to answer their fan mail.
